Crashlytics is our go to app analytics tool. So being able to dive deeper into Twitter’s suite of tools including Crashlytics, Answers, Fabric and GNIP was a real treat.
Over 400 App Brewers signed up for the event at Twitter’s UK headquarters. The auditorium was filled with our community of developers, computer science students, mobile marketers and designers. Everyone was keen to learn about how they could leverage Twitters tools and APIs to improve their apps and make their lives easier.
We heard from Andy Piper, Twitter’s Global Lead Developer Advocate about the latest developments in the Twitter analytics tools and how Twitter’s APIs can be leveraged to bring real time content to mobile apps.
We also heard from industry leaders who were implementing Twitter’s technology to keep their apps up on the pulse of the planet. Of most interest was Twizoo, an app that uses the Twitter API to recommend the best restaurants around your locale.
Ali Parr, Twitter’s Head of International Platform Partnerships then talked about Fastlane – Twitter’s app release automation tool. The pain point it addressed for iOS and Android app developers included handling provisioning profiles and automated screenshot building for the app stores.
The Twitter team then demonstrated how easy it was to tap into the Twitter API and built a travel guide app based on tweets right in front of our eyes. You can check out the Github repos here.
